***** IMPORTANT NOTE (PLEASE REVIEW) : For Carrera models, 991.1+ and Cayman/Boxter models 981+ These require a separate power source to operate the valves. You will need to tap into an external power source in the engine bay for the controller to operate properly. Ultimately this controller will work but it is more labor-intensive. Additionally for certain models, Porsche within the lifecycle of the vehicle has changed the polarity of certain exhaust valve components. This means that your exhaust valve controller might be in the opposite orientation to the factory control setup. Simply swap the pins on the controller and the controller will operate properly. The reason for this is Porsche uses a lot of different suppliers for their solenoids. It is a simple as switching the power and ground wires in the controller to make it operate properly. If your controller does not plug and play recommend consulting a professional to install the controller for you
